What are Warts?
Warts are bumpy small mounds of overgrown skin that usually appears on the fingers, hands, knees, elbows, or toes. There are a few different types of warts.
Common Warts: these wart are caused by HPV (Human papilloma virus) types 2 and 4. They usually surface on the hands and fingers.
Plantar Warts: These warts tend to develop on the soles of the feet, and grown downward. This type is caused by HPV 1, and they can be painful.
Plane Warts: These warts grow in clusters, and ware flesh-colored, and small.
Venereal Warts: These warts affect the genital area, and the anus. These wart resemble cauliflower. There are at least four different types of HPV that cause these warts, which is spread through sexual contact.
Who Gets Warts?
Anyone at any age can develop warts. Children, and adolescents are most commonly affected with warts.
What are the Root Causes of Warts?
The Human Papilloma Virus or HPV is the main root cause of warts.
